Shop Individual Cuts

Grilling season, weeknight dinners, Sunday roasts, or a whole backyard barbecue — buy exactly the beef you need. Shop individual Grass Rivers cuts for everything from perfectly portioned steaks for two to family favorites and larger cuts made for feeding a crowd. Available cuts change with the season and what’s in the freezer, so there’s always something worth building dinner around.

1. Pick Your Cuts
Browse what’s currently available and reserve exactly what you want — a couple of steaks, ground beef for the week, a roast for the family, or something bigger for the grill.

2. We Weigh + Total It
Because every cut is a little different, beef is priced by the pound. Your online order reserves your cuts, then we confirm the exact package weights and calculate your final total.

3. Pick Up at the Farm
We’ll let you know when your order is ready, then you can pay your final balance and pick it up directly from Grass Rivers Farm in Siletz.

Why am I charged after I order?

No two steaks or roasts weigh exactly the same. Reserving first means you pay for the actual weight of the beef you receive, rather than an estimate and you can pay before or during your pickup at the farm in Siletz. Get Directions to the Farm

*Exact cuts and quantities vary by share size, animal, and processing choices.

A little bit of everything — and more choice as your share gets bigger.

A beef share includes a mix of cuts from across the animal, giving you everything from quick weeknight staples to steaks, roasts, and slow-cooking favorites. Exact quantities vary based on the animal, your share size, and how you choose to have your beef cut.

Your Share, Your Freezer
Quarter shares offer a balanced assortment with no customization options, while half and whole shares give you complete flexibility in how your beef is cut and packaged.

A Few Things to Know

Quarter ~160 lbs. hanging weight | Half ~325 lbs. hanging weight | Whole ~650 lbs. hanging weight

Hanging Weight
Beef shares are priced by hanging weight, not the final packaged weight you take home. A whole beef averages around 650 lbs. hanging weight and will yield roughly 60% of that weight in finished packages.

Processing Is Separate
Butcher and processing costs are separate from the cost of raising our Grass Rivers beef but will be combined and all inclusive for your final payment. Cut costs will vary slightly based on your selections.

Choose Your Packaging
Beef can be paper wrapped or vacuum sealed. Vacuum sealing is an additional $0.20/lb.

Seasonal Harvests
Grass Rivers typically harvests once a year, in the fall. Your deposit reserves your share for an upcoming harvest.

Once your beef has been cut and packaged, we’ll contact you with your final balance and pickup details.

Approximate hanging weights are based on a 650 lb. average whole beef. Actual weights vary by animal.
